We are pleased to announce that Salt Tree Advisory, in partnership with our sub-consultants Ellyett Architecture and Interior Design, has been appointed by Port Stephens Council to deliver the Precinct One Masterplan for Halifax Holiday Park — a priority redevelopment engagement for one of the Hunter Region's most-visited coastal tourism destinations.
Halifax Holiday Park sits on Crown land at the edge of Little Beach and Shoal Bay Beach, and forms part of the Port Stephens Beachside Holiday Parks Group. The park is a significant non-rate revenue generator for Council, and the redevelopment of Precinct One represents a strategic opportunity to modernise infrastructure, optimise site yield, attract premium accommodation markets, and deliver a destination-quality experience that reflects Port Stephens' position as "Incredible by Nature."
Over the next few months, Salt Tree Advisory and Ellyett Architecture will deliver a comprehensive masterplan engagement covering detailed site analysis, holiday park performance and context review, concept and detailed precinct masterplanning, accessible design and movement planning, a staging and implementation framework, and a high-level cost estimate — culminating in a formal presentation to Council stakeholders.
A particular focus of the engagement will be integrating Precinct One with the new accessible pathways and public domain being delivered at Little Beach, ensuring the park serves guests of all ages and abilities and capitalises on that public investment. All work will be aligned with the Halifax Holiday Park Plan of Management, Crown Land requirements, and NSW Local Government regulations — ensuring design ambitions translate into approvable, staged, deliverable outcomes.
This project adds to Salt Tree Advisory's growing body of work supporting NSW Local Government councils in unlocking the potential of Crown land tourism assets, from strategic reviews and feasibility studies through to full precinct masterplans and delivery programs. If your council manages a holiday park, caravan park, or Crown land tourism precinct and is considering how to strengthen its performance, we'd welcome the conversation.
